Robe South Australia

  •  After some planning we were off again, this time we were trecking 7 hours to Robe S.A. with a convoy of 10 4x4s.
We arrived in Robe, helped each other set up the camper trailers and caravans and began planning how we will spend the next few days.
1st day and we were off to do some 4wding along the coast, we dropped tyre pressures and began our journey through one of the many tracks surrounding Robe. The terrain wasn't too difficult but the views were amazing. Seemed every corner presented your own little cove and fishing hole.
Second day and the weather turned out pretty bad, really limiting what we could do. The wind was blowing straight into our faces so casting a line in was near impossible. So a day spent at camp was done creating our own little bits of fun from playing cards to a various amount of others games.
Third day and the weather wasn't much better, but we decided to take a drive up to a town about an hours drive away named 'Beachworth'. We had a bite to eat and even though the weather wasn't great we could still admire what a beautiful little town it was.
Forth day was the best of weather and presented a few windows of time to get outdoors and explore the surrounds. We drove along the beach and decided to do a spot of fishing. Only managing a feed of Australian salmon. Not many people like eating these fish but if bled straight away and given to my Dad to cook up they can be quite tastie.
Fifth and final day and the weather was good, so we woke early and found a few more tracks to explore around Robe before having to head back to camp and start packing up and making our way back home.
Robe is an amazing town and we cant wait to head back there and enjoy it allot more when the weather is a bit better. Overall we still had a ball with such a big group of people that all got along.
